Lenka Pelcova

My home country is the Czech Republic where I grew up in an equestrian background. I moved to Sydney in 2013 and worked there as a horse riding instructor at Centennial Park Equestrian Centre for four years. While I was studying Sports Coaching, I came across the Brazilian martial art called Capoeira and I immediately fell in love with it. That’s also when I decided to learn more about fitness and started studying Certificate III and IV in Fitness. From here, I got into calisthenics, gymnastics and mobility training through my friend. I like challenges and adventures and a few years ago I found out about Spartan Race. Spartan Race is an obstacle race, usually run in a countryside and it consists of a number of obstacles over certain distance. So far, I have done about ten races of 7km, 14km and 21 km. I joined Artgym in July 2021 and got interested in kettlebells. In January 2022, I did the IKFF Level 1 Kettlebell certification with Steve Cotter and later on, coached by Eilish, I competed in Snatch and Military snatch at the 2022 GSAA Tasmanian State Kettlebell Championship. I also like surfing, scuba diving, hiking, riding my horse and a motorcycle.
