World Champ Jennifer Shares Kettlebell Love

April 19th, 2017

Nothing is more inspiring than learning from real people who live their dreams. Yesterday we said a temporary goodbye to our friend Jennifer Hintenberger, a world-record holder in kettlebell sport, who spent two weeks in April as our kettlebell coach in residence.

We loved Jennifer from the moment she appeared in the gym with her patchwork Balinese carry-on and beaming smile. She made everything appear tremendously exciting, sharing off-the-cuff coaching tips and techniques, intriguing stories of working with some of the best kettlebell sport coaches in the world and our love of a triple-shot coffee.

Jennifer also ran a transformative and practical kettlebell sport workshop in the gym on 14th April, encouraging participants to get into the training zone ahead of the Girevoy Sport Australia Association State Championships at Artgym on 3rd June.

So life continues on in our new normal: more people are lifting kettlebells, the clock now belongs on the floor and the chalk bowl has become a chalk tub. We’ve also bought a new vacuum cleaner and had a life-size cardboard cutout made of Jennifer (just kidding… maybe).

Jennifer will return to Artgym for the state championships and will be leading a kettlebell sport certification (to be confirmed) the next day (4th June). Until then there is much training to be done!
